ECTS, billed as "Europe's premier interactive entertainment expo", is about to get a shot of new blood. This year marks the first appearance of Dimensionality.
James Hills, a.k.a. "Doley", will be making the maiden voyage across the ocean to attend the conference to be held on September 7-9 in London, England. While there, James will be promoting Dimensionality and its products, as well as representing unreal.org, an international group of gamers pushing for excellence in the 3D gaming industry.
The official program guide to ECTS certainly would seem to support all claims of excellence. Among the companies to be represented there are Epic Megagames, Sony, Nintendo, Microprose, and GT Interactive, just to name a few.
One of the most interesting focal points will be the Intel booth. This year is Intel's first appearance at the show. While Intel will not be marketing any specific game or piece of software, it will be demonstrating the power of the new Intel chips and their potential to the gaming industry.
Trade shows such as ECTS can "make it or break it" for many companies. ECTS will showcase both new products and new, start-up companies. Each will be vying for a limited number of positions in the field of industry leaders. While Dimensionality is one of the newest companies in this rat-race, we will come out of ECTS with a prosperous future, looking forward to years of productive interaction with the rest of the computer gaming industry.
Hope to see you there!
